Praise be to Allah,
[Muhammad] ibn Abu ‘Adiyy narrated to us from Humayd [at-Taweel] from Anas ibn Maalik who said,
“When news of the [clan of] Banu Salamah’s intention to move from their houses and live near the mosque reached Allah’s Messenger (PBUH), he disliked seeing [the outskirts of] of Madeenah vacated, so he said [to them], ‘Don’t you anticipate reward from Allah for [every] step you take to the mosque, Banu Salamah?’ They said, ‘Yes indeed, Messenger of Allah (PBU).’ So they stayed where they were.”
