Hadith Concerning the Torment of the Grave

Praise be to Allah,

Sufyaan [ibn ‘Uyaynah] narrated to us [that] Qaasim ar-Rahhaal heard Anas ibn Maalik say,

“The Prophet (PBUH) entered some ruins of Banu an-Najjar as if he wanted to relieve himself. Then he came out [after answering the call of nature] to us in a state of panic and said, ‘Were it that you would not bury one another, I would have prayed to Allah to make you hear the torment of the grave.”‘
